During March, the WATERFRONTS project hosted a series of online focus groups based in Sweden, gathering artists, scientists, cultural workers, and policymakers to explore how climate change is reshaping life along the North Sea coast.
Together, participants from Sweden, the Netherlands, and Denmark reflected on challenges like flooding, biodiversity loss, and heat stress—while sharing creative and community-driven strategies for resilience. From underwater drone films to fish doorbells and flood-marking trees, the sessions highlighted how culture and imagination can bring climate adaptation closer to people’s lives.
A big thank-you to everyone who contributed ideas, stories, and drawings.
