Darja Nordberg: Traces in Glass

A piece of bark, Darja holding the mould for casting, the glass object fresh out of the mould

Darja Nordberg is a designer and textile designer educated at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås. Her practice explores processes, materials and methods where colour, form and craft intersect

With a background in textiles, she now works with ceramics and glass to deepen her exploration of materiality and expression.

In AVTRYCK, created together with Martina Claesson, she begins from a shared workshop exploring colour, form and climate related emotions.

Molten glass is blown into a mould.
Texture leaves its trace.

Through this process, Darja investigates how material and form can carry emotional imprints. How something intangible can take physical shape.

An imprint.
A surface.
A quiet record of touch.
