As part of Gothenburg Craft Days 2026, WATERFRONTS artists Darja Nordberg and Martina Claesson presented their collaborative glass works to visitors, curators and cultural professionals from across the city.
Developed during the WATERFRONTS residency in Sweden, the works grew from community conversations about climate change, emotions, colour and our relationship with nature. Through experimentation with bark textures, mould making and glass, these reflections were transformed into tangible forms.
During the event, the artists engaged directly with visitors, sharing the story behind the works and the process that led from workshop discussions to finished pieces. Conversations explored themes of environmental change, emotional resilience, material memory and the role of artistic experimentation in making complex climate issues more accessible.
The exhibition became more than a presentation of artworks. It created opportunities for dialogue, reflection and exchange between artists, cultural professionals and the wider public.
